Hörmann Gadco Opens Orlando Office
New location to boost service in Florida

Montgomery IL, May 6 2007. Hörmann Gadco has opened a new office in Orlando, in order to be closer to the key Florida market. The new distributorship replaces the former Valdosta GA office. "This is a key move for us" noted Norbert E. Fritz, vice president sales & marketing of Hörmann Gadco LLC. "Orlando is in the middle of the state, so we can now serve customers anywhere in Florida faster." Company Principal Christoph Hörmann was in attendance at the April 10 opening, in keeping with the importance of the new distributor location.

The company intends to begin twice-weekly deliveries in Florida soon, in order to help dealers respond faster and enable them to carry less stock, and thus reduce overhead costs. To facilitate this, Hörmann Gadco is also adding more customer service and logistics personnel at the Orlando location.

Hörmann Sections Now Available With Gadco Hardware
New product line combines high-end design with easier servicing

Montgomery IL, May 6 2007. Hörmann Gadco LLC is launching a new product line that combines the design and safety features of the company's top-line Hörmann sections with Gadco industry standard tracks and hardware. Developed in response to customer requests, this is intended to make service and repairs easier, since parts for standard hardware are already on the installer service truck in most cases, and so don't need to be special ordered. "Our customers asked for this option, and as a result of the merger of the two companies and our combined resources, we are able to provide it," said Norbert E. Fritz, vice president sales & marketing of Hörmann Gadco LLC, adding "this gives garage door dealers another way to sell high-end design and unique Hörmann safety features like the pinch resistant section joint, in a format that's easy to service and maintain." The new product will be available in early summer 2007, and comes with a lifetime warranty just like any other fine Hörmann product.

The new configuration also allows Hörmann sections to be installed in low headroom applications, since the Gadco hardware needs just 3.5" headroom instead of 8". "We always strive to meet market needs and customer demands, and this is another way we're doing it," said Norbert E. Fritz.

Hörmann Gadco Promotes and Hires
Changes intended to improve customer service

Montgomery IL, May 1, 2007. Hörmann Gadco has made four significant personnel changes at the national and regional levels.

Dave Mellendorf has been promoted to the newly-created position of Distribution Operations Manager. He will support the regional distribution companies, and assist in coordination between them and Hörmann Gadco's plants in Montgomery IL and Vonore TN. Dave knows the business inside and out, having been Regional Sales Manager at Hörmann Gadco's Allentown PA location for more than 10 years.

A major objective will be to improve logistics and tour planning, so that the company can begin to make multiple regular weekly delivery runs instead of one. Dave will also work with Hörmann Gadco's National Sales Manager to identify promising new distribution center locations as the company continues to grow.

Michael Korsch replaces Dave Mellendorf as the new Regional Sales Manager in Allentown PA. Michael is a former Director of the Northeast Door Association, an affiliate of IDA, and also a former Hörmann Gadco customer. Michael brings 10+ years first-hand knowledge of what garage door dealers look for in a door supplier. He will be responsible for providing sales support to the Hörmann Gadco customers in parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and New England, and for developing new customers in those areas.

Hörmann Gadco has further hired Richard Collins as the new Regional Sales Manager for North and South Carolina. Richard, also a 17+ year industry veteran, is thoroughly familiar with the business in the south, especially the Carolinas since he has lived in Winston-Salem most of his life. Richard, a very well known and respected individual in the door and operator business, is a former member of the board of the Winston-Salem/Greensboro Home Builders Association and replaces Karol Varga, who has accepted the position as DC Manager at Hörmann Gadco's new Orlando Distribution facility.

The latest addition to Hörmann Gadco's regional sales manager force is Thomas Skaro. Tom, responsible for the upper Midwest, brings 25+ years of expertise in the garage door business to the company and will provide sales support to customers in Minnesota, parts of Wisconsin, North and South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska and Colorado.
